Job Title: HR Administrator | Location: Brandesburton | Salary: £22,000 - £24,000

The successful candidate will be based at our clients’ headquarters in Brandesburton, East Yorkshire, therefore own means of travel is essential.

The role of ‘HR Payroll Administrator’ is to provide a proactive, high level, accurate and timely HR & Payroll Administration service to the business.

Experience, Qualifications & Training:


Experience in a similar role desirable, must have at least 12 months payroll experience

Human Resource qualification – Level 3/5 CIPD in HRM or working towards

PC Literate:

  • Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook – Intermediate/Advanced
  • Oracle (Preferred)
  • SharePoint (Preferred)
  • Sage 50 HR (Preferred)


Principle Accountabilities:


  • Accurately collate all payroll documents for issue to outsourced payroll company, resolving any issues that arise
  • Check and authorise final reports from the outsourced payroll company
  • Co-ordinate and keep track of all variations to pay, including overtime, and expenses etc
  • Accurately input salary and expenses data into the online banking system for authorisation
  • Ensure any post payroll payments are made in an accurate and timely manner
  • Provide HR advice and support to managers for formal meetings i.e. disciplinary, grievance and capability meetings inclusive of note-taking
  • Monitor attendance, including short-term sickness and regularly review trends and trigger points with Production
  • Manage and process new starters and leavers ensuring that all starter, leaver and variations are updated in time for payroll cut-off
  • Prepare offer letters, contracts and variation to contracts
  • Monitor FTC expiries and administer extensions where necessary
  • Prepare reference checks, leaver letters and all other associated documents required in the employment cycle
  • Assist with HR projects and general administration duties as and when required
  • Collate data required for HR reporting
  • Support and set-up pensions
  • Time and Attendance reporting and data
  • Maintain accurate HR, holiday and sickness records
  • ALD and hire car administration
  • Raise purchase orders on the Oracle system
  • Ad hoc tasks and reporting as requested
